Work out how much water you need

Most gardeners will tell you that around 25mm to 40mm rainfall equivalent per week on the hottest days is required for most European-style gardens. We've seen people with our Reverse Osmosis plants use a LOT more. Just because they can!

To calculate how much water you need, first work out how much rain (in millimetres) you'd like over an average WEEK and note that column. Now calculate the area to be irrigated and look across the row til you come to the rainfall column; the number shows you how much water the area needs per DAY.

For example, a garden area needing 40mm of rain in an average week, having an irrigable area of 2,000 square metres (0.2 Hectares) needs 11,429 litres of water per day.
