Bore and Water Testing
AVIVAPURE™ matches your unique water characteristics to the correct equipment type, membranes and water pre-treatment regime. Each source of feedwater contains a unique mix of compounds (not just salt). Things like silica, iron and calcium carbonate can foul membranes, so each plant requires a different design of pre-treatment options to ensure the long-term, low-cost operation of your AVIVAPURE™ Reverse Osmosis plant.
If you have a fairly recent set of water analyses, we can give you an estimate. However, before we build your plant we need to re-test the water because it won't have been tested for things like silica, which we need to know about.

What can I collect the water sample in?
Call us and we will send you a one-litre water sample bottle. Alternatively, you can carefully wash out a one-litre screw-top plastic water bottle (not one that has contained a carbonated drink) with clean, hot water.
Please screw the lid on tightly and tape it up. If you use one of our water sample bottles, you will find that you need to screw it on a little tighter than you first thought. Write your name and phone number clearly on the bottle. We have an impressive collection of unmarked bottles in a shed!
How do I collect a water sample?
Get a sample from the centre of the creek, river or dam. If you're filling from a bore, let the pump run for a minute before filling the bottle. If the bore has not run for at least two hours in the past few days, run it for an hour or two before taking the water sample. If the bore is new, then run it full-flow for 24 hours before taking the sample.
If you have no Borepump: we can pump out your bore, measure the water 'drawdown' levels, the flow rates and TDS every two hours, then obtain a clean sample of water for testing. Turn the valve from your pump right down so air does not bubble in with the water. If you allow air to mix with the water, the iron readings in the analysis will be wrong; we need an accurate analysis of the iron.
Where do I send my water sample?
Please write your name, address and contact details on a card or label attached to the bottle, enclose a cheque for $242 (incl GST) payable to AVIVAPURE™ Pty Ltd with your water sample. Wrap the bottle in bubble-wrap, pack it in a Post-It box and mail it to:

Our NATA Quality-Certified lab will complete 17 different analyses within 10 working days and we will contact you post analysis to discuss options.
