Drinking Water Purifiers
Performance Claims
Not all manufacturers do a thorough job of testing their products to assure their customers that products will perform as claimed.
A team of scientists and engineers, who are dedicated exclusively to water treatment system development, have thoroughly tested our Water Purifier for the following performance claims, all of which are backed by research documentation.
Performance Claims Related to Pressed Carbon Block Filter Technology
- Certified by NSF International under ANSI/NSF Standards 42, and 53
- Improves taste, odour, and clarity of water
- Improves taste of beverages made with filtered water
- Does not remove beneficial minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, andfluoride
- Reduces particulates down to 0.2 microns, including sediment, dirt, and scale
Effectively removes:
- Organic contaminants from water, including more than 135 contaminants suchas volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pesticides, and trihalomethanes
- More than 13 disinfection by-products
- More than 30 pesticides and pesticide by-products
- Protozoan parasites that can cause disease
- Vinyl chloride, Chloramine, and asbestos
- Microcystin LR, the most common algae toxin
- Lead, mercury, radon and radon decay products
- Waterborne parasites larger than 1 to 3 microns
- MTBE (Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether)
Performance Claims Related to Ultraviolet Light Technology
- Certified by NSF International under ANSI/NSF Standard 55
- Ultraviolet light destroys more than 99.99% of waterborne disease-causingbacteria and viruses that may be in drinking water
- Ultraviolet light destroys Cryptosporidium
Performance Claims Related to the Overall Product

- Convenient, replaceable carbon block filter and ultraviolet lamp
- More convenient than bottled water
- Attaches to most standard kitchen water taps
- Easy to install, requires no special tools or plumbing connections
- System monitor indicates remaining carbon filter and ultraviolet lamp life
- Treats enough water for drinking and cooking purposes for a family of six for up to one year
- Uses exclusive patented technology
Please note: The contaminants or other substances referenced in this section are notnecessarily in your drinking water.
The electronic monitoring system is another of the advanced features thatdifferentiates the system from all others.
- It alerts you if there is any problem, if the UV bulb stops working, for example.
- It tells you when to replace the UV lamp and/or filter/cartridge so you alwaysknow your water is receiving the full benefit of the AVIVAPURE Water Purifier.
- It is convenient, because it keeps track of these things on its own. It gives you both an audio and visual indication when it is time for a replacement, so you do not have to remember to do it yourself. The monitor resets automatically when a new cartridge is installed. It is so advanced, it automatically "reads" the life of any cartridge inserted, whether that cartridge is new, half-used, or completely used.
